Swaggical Rapstha Joins Rap Connect

There’s a new face in the Rap Connect camp. Female artist Swaggical Rapstha joins Fb Slim, Nep Dogg and Penelops, forming the new look Rap Connect, as the group announced the newest addition to the family.

The trio, who have highly been compared to Nepsydaz, began as a two-member team in 2004 with FB Slim and Nep Dogg forming whilst in college. Then in 2006, the duo added Penelops to the group, who happens to be cousin of Nep Dogg. The unsigned group who have been working independently with various artists from across the world, finally now look set to release their first offering as a group.

DJ AJ Set To Return To Nepal

14 years after he last set foot in the motherland, DJ AJ prepares to return back to Nepal in 2012. The Canada base Nephop producer who has been active in the music community since helping set the platform and launch the genre back in the early 2000s will surly bake some new material when hitting up the studios in KTM at the end of summer.

Since the popularity of the Internet began to take off in Nepal, AJ has collaborated with a host of artists by sending beats online, most noticeably, single-handily producing the majority of Nepsydaz second album ‘Made In Nepal,” leading to the now infamous single “Chudania.” After a long hiatus, one of Nepal’s most talented producers will make a triumphant return to the land of sacred.

Nire Previews New Mixtape

Nire aka Niray previews a collection of new music by giving his fans a taste of his forth coming mixtape. The Florida base rapper who released his first mixtape at the back of last year has already begun 2012 by hitting up the booth. The stand out cut from the list of previews includes “Parichaya.”

Rappers Plot 2012 India Tour

Final preparations are underway for Nephop stars Nepsydaz to return back to India in 2012 as part of a tour with GXSOUL and Fuba Tamang. After the success of the group’s ‘One Night’ tour back in September in New Delhi, MistaH.K, Loorey and Zero Level are set to return back to the city as well as Bangalore, alongside Viber-B, Bullet Flo, Nimasang and Fuba Tamang.

With the dates and venue still yet to be announced, DJ Karma, DJ CJ, DA ICE MAN and DJ GRENVILLE have already been recruited by event management company EMX World to rock the dance floor.

KaziO Reveals Cover Art And Tracklisting For Debut Album

KaziO is going international with his debut album ‘Living The Dream.’ The sunglasses-sporting rap artist will release the project via iTunes worldwide next month with the date to be revealed soon. Distributed through Timilsina Records, the 10 tracks collection which includes the lead single “Soltini,” features contribution from Nepali rock bank ALT F4 on “Paisa,” and Nepali singer Preeti Kaur on “Yo Mann Ma.”

MistaH.K Named As Special Guest On Yama Buddha’s Record

Ranking over 40 thousand views on YouTube since last May, Yama Buddha’s “Aamaa,” has seen its fair share of acclaim. The leaked snippet which only hears the “Saathi” emcee, has now had its featuring artist confirmed as Nepydaz’s front-man Mistah.K. The track is set to feature on Buddha’s forthcoming debut album which is widely expected to drop in 2012 through record label Superstar Entertainment. Mami Launches Ladiez First

January 1st not only saw in the New Year but it also saw the launch of ‘Ladiez First,’ an online blog and resource for all women who have an interest in Hiphop music and culture. The blogging site launched by Mami of the FunkyFresh Movement aims to target aspiring Female Hiphop Artists in Nepal, as well as those who have only begun to start picking up the mic, spraying a can, djing or BGirl dancing.

Mami herself, an aspiring Female MC, looks set to drop her forthcoming debut EP titled ‘Rise of the Femcee’ as well as her forth coming solo debut-album ‘Rebirth’ which hears her alter-ego GAIA take center stage.
